Mining & remote operations / Digital products

Remote sites. Real-time clarity.

MetricGrid connects equipment telemetry, live dashboards and remote commands, giving mining teams a clear view of what is happening in the field.

What changed

Equipment data and remote control brought into a platform built for the operating environment.

01 / The problem

Where things got stuck.

Mining operations needed to monitor equipment across remote sites and issue commands to rigs in the field.

Existing tools could not meet the required data volume and responsiveness. The platform also needed to keep customer data and operational access separate.

02 / What we built

What we built.

We built a multi-tenant SaaS platform ingesting thousands of telemetry data points per second. Custom gauges and time-series charts make that data accessible through real-time dashboards.

A bidirectional command system supports remote equipment control. Data isolation, role-based access and API key management form part of the platform, deployed on AWS with infrastructure as code.

03 / How it works

Connected from
start to finish.

  1. 01

    Connect equipment

Ingest telemetry from rigs and remote sites.

  2. 02

    Make it visible

Present live readings through gauges and time-series views.

  3. 03

    Support control

Carry remote equipment commands through a bidirectional system.

  4. 04

    Separate access

Apply tenant isolation, roles and API key management.

04 / The difference

A better working day.

Before

  • Existing tools struggled with the required telemetry volume.
  • Remote operations needed timely equipment visibility.
  • Monitoring and commands required a coordinated platform.

After

  • A purpose-built ingestion system handles live telemetry.
  • Custom dashboards present the equipment information.
  • Bidirectional commands sit alongside operational monitoring.

05 / Inside the build

The details that
make it dependable.

Tenant isolation, role-based access and API key management define the platform’s access model. Infrastructure as code makes deployment repeatable, while live gauges and time-series views serve different operational questions.
