01 / The problem
Where things got stuck.
It started with a local sailing club’s Saturday-morning Green Fleet. Volunteers recorded the young sailors’ finish times on the water, then sat down afterwards to calculate handicaps and work out who had won.
The tools they found added more complexity than a small club needed. The immediate need was simple: record finishes while on the water and turn them into usable results.

What we built.
Trident built a practical timing app with one-tap finish capture and automatic handicap scoring. It grew into a native iOS and Android product covering the everyday needs of smaller sailing clubs.
Race series, club management and sailor records sit alongside timing. Published results let sailors and parents follow the scores online. Today, sailing clubs around the world use SailScore.
